Before you run out the door and grab a coffee on route or assume that skipping a meal is going to keep the weight off, read this and make time for that breakie:) Not only does it supply you with energy until lunch, but helps maintain your weight as it jump starts the metabolism. Besides, by mid-morning who ends up hungry and potentially snacking on sugary things to try and make it through?
Now that the weather is warmer, perhaps porridge is a little warming for some, so here's another idea, 5 minute Muesli.
1 tbsp Yogurt-non dairy (TJ's)
1 tbsp unsweetened apple sauce (TJ's)
1/2 cup of oats or multi grain as in photo (TJ's)
1/4 cup of non-dairy milk
1/4 cup of pecans or walnuts chopped
1/4 cup of pomegranate, strawberries, or other berries/fruit
Sprinkle of cinnamon
1. Put all ingredients in bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon.
2. Let it sit for 5 minutes while the oats/multi grain soak.
3. Eat up and have a wonderful day!
Serves 1 healthy sized breakie:)
