Griot Theatre of the West Valley presents William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar at Bethel Encino. What if the assassination of the world's most powerful man were orchestrated and executed by a woman -- a woman in touch with her passions and certain of her destiny? That question lies at the heart of this production, set against the backdrop of Game of Thrones, which asks a similar question. GET ME TO HOLLYWOOD
Get Me To Hollywood: British Edition is the essential guide to living the life in LA and how to make it in Hollywood, specifically tailored for our British readers. Throughout the 8 chapters, we will cover the basics: what an American headshot looks like compared with a British headshot, the established actor's resume, how to find representation, how to meet with casting directors and the audition process, and will also include a detailed list of resources and contributors.
Louisa Spring has specialized in representing English talent for the past 15 years and has successfully helped them make the trek over. With the current fascination with all things British, the timing was right to release this handbook to help those seeking help on making the big move.

You can buy the book as a direct download here: http://www.payloadz.com/go/sip?id=1871032 or on our website & social networking pages.

Meet Hadrian Howard
Former British WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) star Hadrian Howard has been making waves here in Los Angeles of late. After leaving behind the squared circle to continue to pursue his first passion of acting, he has been on a steady rise here in the US making regular appearances on our TV screens in shows like CSI:Miami and Single Ladies, and is now busy working on his own feature film production that he not only has written, but is co-producing and starring in. We caught up with the versatile former grappler to see what all the noise was about…

Hi Hadrian, how are things?

Things are very well thanks. Except I’ve just burned my mouth on this bloody latte.  It’s really tough being an actor sometimes.

Sounds like it, with the work you’re getting as well as your own projects I’m surprised you find the time for sipping lattes.

It’s challenging, but I manage.

So tell us where you got started, and how you found yourself out here in LA?

Well, I actually started out acting. I studied at The University Of Plymouth and then went on to do a little bit of theatre in London, mainly repatory stuff. But towards the end of uni I also got involved with a pro wrestling company that was starting in London around the same time, and ended up getting heavily involved in the wrestling. Wrestling was addictive.

How does one go about becoming a pro wrestler? It’s not something you hear a lot about in your day to day carryings on.

Yeah, we’re kind of a breed apart, but we’re definitely there in the UK, moving around under the radar of the more mainstream entertainment stuff. But as to how I got involved, like anything else I went to school for it. I trained for about a year with the FWA (Frontier Wrestling Alliance) academy and from there hit the independent scene in the UK and Europe.

And somewhere along the way WWE came calling?

That’s right. They brought me over to the US and I had a decent run with them before I got injured (Hade tore ligaments in his knee during a match!) and decided to move back into acting full time. I’d actually done a lot of TV stuff back in England through the wrestling, but up to that point wrestling was the priority. Things change.

You’ve worked pretty consistently as an actor since moving to LA. What is your perception of the industry here?

It’s a difficult business wherever you are, but in LA there’s just more of everything. That goes for the highs as well as the lows. There are far more opportunities here in the States, and they’re far more willing to take a chance on you based on what talent you might actually have. Back home there is a bit of a tendency to play it safe.

What have you been involved with lately in terms of the acting industry?

I’ve just finished shooting a film called ‘T.R.O.C’, an action thriller about heist gone wrong which is scheduled for release toward the middle of next year, and next month I start work on a feature called ‘The Western’ which is a really funky sci-fi/wild west mash up. I play the lead, a guy named London (appropriately) who finds himself wandering into town at the worst time.

And we hear you’re busy producing your own projects?

That’s right. I’m working with producer/actor Adrian Paul (Highlander: The Series, Nemesis Game, Eyeborgs) on a film I wrote. Another action thriller yarn about a London cop who comes to LA looking for his estranged sister. Fingers crossed it all goes according to plan, which of course it never does. But that’s all part of thrill of the business.

And finally, a bit random but what gives you hope for the future?

Ummm, my future or the future of mankind?

Both.

Knowing that each new day is another chance to get right.
