Steve Sidelnyk's Football Blog 17th January 2014!!!!!!

Happy New Year Brit-ball fans from both sides of the pond!
Its been a hectic period of football that is known as " The Crazy " part of the season.
We had a few different league leaders and even our first customary World Cup 2014 casualty in Theo Walcott!!!!
Some more managers have been dismissed and some new one appointed and some in AVB after his culling from Tottenham Hotspurs, deciding to find himself and revaluate in what capacity he will return to the sport........apparently Charlton Athletic are looking for a new parking attendant : O )
Also the first Houdini award going to Big Sam Allardyce at West Ham United after a couple of shocking drubbings at the hands of Championship side Nottingham Forest in a 5-0 loss in the FA Cup and then a 6-0 whitewash by Manchester City in the Capital One League Cup with the Sky Blue army destroying and toying with a injury ridden Hammers side, only for them to give former Red Devil " The Baby-Faced Assassin" Ole-Gunnar Solksjaer newly appointed Cardiff boss, his first loss in only his second game in charge.
We"ve all been waiting for it and finally its here : The Special One versus The Not-So Special One in the tie of the season so-far Chelsea v Manchester United on Sunday! Jose Mourihno already playing mind games with an under pressure and under achieving boss in David Moyes and his Manchester United side really not playing well at all and a loss at Stamford Bridge could be a pivotal point in their season even though they are not far off the pace they don't have the same command of the pitch and have turned from the Darth Maul of football into the Jar-Jar Binks of football and nobody is scared of taking the game to them.......lets see what happens Sunday!
Man City top of the Premiership at Christmas and then Arsenal top for the New Year.
It looks like a 5 horse race with Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool and in-form Everton all battling for Champions League places with Tottenham playing well with former Spurs player Tim Sherwood now in charge, and even though they are looking poor, you can never write off Man Utd both hot on the heels of the top five.
Just a fact that Manchester City have scored 99 goals so far this season..............pretty impressive and with Sergio Aguero back from injury a lot of people are saying the title is theirs to lose!
Its the FA Cup next weekend so will taking a look at that and the Champions league draw for our teams.
Enjoy the weekend and there'll be plenty of transfer gossip as well!!!
