Meet Gayle Davidson from London, UK who moved to LA 11 years ago to pursue music

Was there a particular reason you chose LA ? Actually I didn’t like LA at all, I had visited 10 years prior and found it intimidating & far too sprawling. However I loved NYC, and I lived there for 2 years before moving to LA. It took about 6 months or so to really settle here, but then after that time I found myself surrounded by so many like- minded great people, that for the first time in my life, I felt like I belonged somewhere. It took having a few great British friends here to really make that happen. If you know one or two people to start off it really helps.   Now I love it and it’s my home.

What one thing do you miss from home?

What do you find the biggest difference is living here versus the UK? I feel that In LA you can be way more open about what you do or what you aspire to do. Your dreams are not shut down like they are sometimes in UK. People are way more positive, even if sometimes it’s …
