MEET A MEMBER - BRIAN MOORE

Meet a Member - Brian Moore

Meet Brian Vincent Moore.  Brian spent his first 22 years in England – coming from beautiful Dagenham – and his work in the music industry brought him to LA 30 years ago.  He’s an Angelino now, selling properties from Downtown to the Beach with Sotheby’s International Realty.

Tell us a little bit about you?

I was born in Barking, Essex.  I worked my way into the music business as a teen.  Over the course of 15 years I toured and worked with over a 100 bands -- from Spandau Ballet, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Pixies, Kiss, Frank Zappa, Harry Connick Jr.
I really enjoyed that and met some fantastic people.
Living in Los Angeles, and absolutely loving the architecture and the CA lifestyle I went into Real Estate.  My wife, Laura, and I are both fans of black & white movies – which goes hand in hand with the love of the “fantasy setting” neighborhoods we have here.   What could be better than living in your own French chateau, Spanish hacienda, English Cottage or ultra-modern space age home?  This is a City that continues to reinvent itself in the most fascinating ways. Working at Sotheby’s International Realty and representing commercial and residential properties – I feel privileged to be a part of this exciting place.  I’ve represented many celebrities and wonderful people -- I can’t imagine a better job.

Was there a particular reason you chose LA ?

To be honest, I came for the gorgeous weather.  I love London but I don’t think I could ever stand to return to the rain and cold for too long.

What do you hope to achieve by living in Los Angeles?

As corny as it may sound I came to LA to be a part of the American dream. I aim to have fun along the way, enjoy my family and leave a legacy for my 2 boys.

What one thing do you miss from home?

I miss going to see Tottenham Hotspur play soccer/football at White Hart Lane.

What do you find the biggest difference is living here versus the UK?

I think the mindset of Americans is truly “the sky’s the limit” – and that makes them unafraid to be candid and genuine.

Do you have a hidden gem in LA that you want to share with us?

I love The Greyhound Pub & Grill in Highland Park. The area is skyrocketing in value and is a hipster paradise.
The Greyhound has really amazing food and great drinks and show soccer, football and baseball on the giant screen.

Where can people find you in the social media sphere?
