So you think you are a type 2?
Often referred to as genetically gifted or as former athletes, Type 2s rarely get the credit deserved for holding it together over the years. Speaking from experience, I have spent most of the last decade convincing myself to stay motivated, determined and focused to take my health and fitness to new levels. Some of you are still working very hard for it, while others have the luxury of resting on their past accomplishments and achievements.  Either way, 2s have to face our own set of unique challenges in order to stay Focused, Committed and desirous of anything more.

A typical 2 will cycle through many “where do I go from here?” episodes during the course of a lifetime. You have the choice to continue to do as you have always done, or to go after more. You will have undoubtedly had countless opportunities to either settle for what you have accomplished or reignite your desire and ramp it up. This is the challenge most Type 2s face as they begin to feel the breath of Father Time on the back of their neck.

I have had to look at lot of Type 2s in the eye and tell them, “you can’t keep it by simply trying not to lose it!” Because I know by now you have almost certainly decided that you know what “works for you” and what its going to take to maintain. Let me be the first to tell you, while that may be effective now, it doesn’t mean it will stay that way. I can actually assure you it wont!

Whether for vanity or longevity, Type 2s need to constantly integrate new stimulus in order to become desirous of more, especially when you consider the fact that you already have what the vast majority of the population doesn’t. It’s time to ask yourself what are you going to do next?
