Hi Everyone
Happy Super Moon! It was great seeing all the posts from around the globe, full of moon pictures. I love how something so simple and beautiful can unite everyone across the world wherever we are. Talking of which, Craig's trip has now taken him down to Italy. I am sure he will have some wonderful stories to share with you when he returns next week.
Next week is July 4th, so there will be lots of celebrations and gatherings going on. Fireworks are illegal here in Los Angeles County (for private use) but there will be many  amazing displays from the annual extravaganza at the Hollywood Bowl
to the block party at Grand Park Downtown LA, or if the ocean is more your thing you should head down to Marina Del Rey. Make sure to visit our Members News as info on a couple of other parties there, including one on a boat !

So Wimbledon is in full swing (pun intended) . Andy Murray is through, phew!
Visit their website for live streaming and up to the minute news.
Also if you want to listen in your car and have a smart phone you can use the app Tune In , and stream 5 Live  for BBC radio coverage !

I had a question for the group this week , I needed to unlock a phone for a friend. I went to the usual places on Melrose and was horrified to learn that it would take a week and cost $85 ! Fortunately before I handed over the cash I did a little research. It turns out that if your phone is out of contract then your service provider will unlock your phone for free. So don't be duped like I nearly was!

Want to take a moment to welcome back our lovely intern Sophie! She has been keeping our Brits Gigging in LA page up to date for the past few months (via the UK) but is now here for a visit and will be blogging and helping us organize events over the next few weeks.

I saw a long thread on the Facebook page about the difficulty of redeeming your Virgin air miles. So you will be delighted to hear that you can now use them on Delta who also fly in and out of London.

Another topic discussed this week was tenants rights and problems with your landlord. A great starting point is to contact the
Los Angeles Housing Department
They offer free advice and help, and have been very useful to me and many of our members in the past.

This weekend Bafta/LA are hosting a screening of the Disney movie Brave.
This is a great event that is for innercity kids in Inglewood who don't have a cinema in their area, so rarely get to see movies on the big screen.
They are looking for volunteers to help set up and serve food and help with prize giveaways. You will be needed from 4pm on Saturday till approximately 9.30pm.
I have signed up, so if you are interested in lending a hand, message Fiona , or drop me a line.

We also have our monthly Sunday Roast coming up the first Sunday in July as well as our weekly Breakfast Club sponsored by Next Stop LAX .
Saturday Social is also every week at Cecconi's.
So plenty of opportunities to come and hang out.

Make sure to check out our "Brits Gigging in LA" page, so many Brits playing around town, including Adam Ant, Savages, Jake Bugg and one of my favourites,
Miss Ellie Goulding!
Huge thank you to Sophie for keeping this page updated. Don't forget Brits in LA member Aaron works for AEG and can get you some great deals on tickets at the Staples Center . Email him here .

Really looking forward to this new night at M Bar hosted by
Gina Yashere & DJ Asha

Over the past three years, The Inner City Shakespeare Ensemble has engaged students in the appreciation of the wit and wisdom of “The Bard”, enriching their lives and opening their horizons with productions of Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  This year gifted students from George Washington Prep High School and Los Angeles High School and will present highlights from Twelfth Night, one of Shakespeare’s most delightful comedies.  Experience this talented troupe as Orsino speaks these classic lines, “If music be the food of love . . . Play on!”

It’s the time to plan ahead for a trip in early August. This may be a move also
and as its best planned at least in part before mid July make sure you are setting things in order.

Your priority should be taking care of you in any area that requires attention as your life style is somewhat hectic lately or any area of your life that requires attention it will shows up.

If you feel you need to make a move in settling some kind of emotional situation but are not sure how will be received right now it will be easier as the week proceeds.
Take care you follow up on any commitments to close family or friends.

You will have to be aware this next week to not speak out of turn or harshly to any one .The consequences are long reaching for you especially if it’s a close friend or family .The month of July will  be better. Happy Birthday.

Yes this is a time for the inner show person to reveal itself for some of you who are not participating in life as you know you can. The fact is that life truly is short and when the opportunity appears go for it.

Its time for a trip and short or long near or far matters not as you benefit from the change of scenery. Just make sure you have caught up with what ever is unfinished especially at home.

Relationships are highlighted this month as your Ruler Venus is going in for a stroll  in this area  of life for you so make sure you are as charming as you can be and with the right people

Its will be one those weeks when a lot is going on and it’s difficult to make a decision.  however it will not be last forever so with this in mind tackle any area of life you have not wanted to deal with that includes people as well

If you want to change anything waiting around for others to make the first move is not a good idea. Mars your fiery cousin in the sign of Cancer sizzles for a couple of weeks ahead so give you the power to follow through.

You may be feeling tired ot worn down so it is likely as usual you are doing to much work .You are the most responsible sign of the Universe usually how ever even you are allowed time out sometimes.

You are probably feeling a bit frustrated this week .Well that’s life for you so take a break from responsibilities at least from some of them. You will receive credit from your past good deeds. Start planning for the holiday weekend early

The planets are really on your side this month however as with all other water signs you all get a tad emotional due to Neptune the king of the ocean being involved in your life for several weeks ahead. On the flip side could be romance in the air.!!
