As you all know Joe Seymour at Mike Sullivan's Volkswagen Santa Monica, is the guy to call if you need a car. (310 266 8825) He knows the ins and outs of the Foreign Business Professional Plan like the back of his hand. It is the only way to get a decent car when you don't have a credit score . One of the things that I have forgotten to mention is that it is vital that you have a Social Security Number. One of our members found this out the hard way last week. But Joe came to the rescue, not only did he take her to the SSN office but he sat and waited and helped her fill out the forms. The number takes about a week to come through, so make sure to do this before you make an appointment with Joe. If you need a man with a van, look no further than Chris. Brits in LA member Lisa Marks recently moved, and used his services (twice) - and he was so friendly, helpful and reliable, she's recommending him here. He charges $49 an hour, has a open pick-up truck, but will hire a U-haul (if it's raining! - you pay costs), and gets the job done quickly and safely. She had no breakages!
