If you are planning to have a get together with your friends to watch this Oscars tomorrow night. You are bound to hear moans of "I didn't get to see Whiplash." What was American Sniper about? "What is Cinematography, anyway?" "Why is everyone so serious?" "I hate award shows." Well, here's the antidote... Sit your fiends down and make them watch the Parody Oscars beforehand.

These spoofs will give you the meat and potatoes of each story in around 5 minutes - and you'll have some laughs along the way. So now your guests won't complain, talk through the acceptance speeches and loudly guess what face work Uma Thurman has had done , wonder what  Keira Knightly has done to her hair and with all that money, why didn't Patrica Arquette ever get her teeth fixed.

The Toscars are held every year in Hollywood. Teams with a budget of $250 and just under 3 weeks, write, act, direct and produce these whacky parodies. it all started 7 years ago, by a bunch of British Ex-pats who thought the awards shows were taking themselves far too seriously and decided in a very British way to poke a little fun. The Toscars have gone on to become one of the main highlights of the award circuit and this year was no exception.

This Years event was held at Here lounge in West Hollywood and produced by Nadia Wit. Guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers and some red carpet interviews. Then the lights went down and British host Sandro Monetti accompanied by special guests, adult entertainer Ron Jeremy and comedian David Schaal led the nights festivities, starting with the screenings and followed by the awards show, where participants compete for such titles as best Whactor, Best Boss, Best shooter among other fabulously silly names.

This years top honors went to the spoof of Birdman, taking home six 'fisties' altogether A gleaming golden casted trophy in the shape of well, a fist.  A vast improvement on the first few years, when the a gold sprayed adult toy version was handed out. But they have definitely stretched their scope in the last few years (pun intended) having sponsors such as Jaguar being involved it has now become one of the most coveted awards shows to be seen at. After all who doesn't love a good laugh and a good fisting!
