Was there a particular reason you chose LA?
I originally went to NYC for one year after college, but soon realized the majority of entertainment production came out of LA at that time, so I moved west.
What do you miss most from home? I mainly missed my family most when I moved as I only had one friend in LA. It takes a few years to really feel at home here in LA but I got there! Now of course I see my family quite often as I travel home a lot and take my parents on trips etc.
What was your first impression of LA and has it changed since?
My first impression was WOW there is SO much to do and would constantly be out and about! I think the biggest change is just in the amount of people, it seems to always keep growing.
What do you find the biggest difference is living here versus Charlottesville? The biggest difference is for sure opportunity at the time, Charlottesville is a beautiful little town, but no real opportunity to be in the Entertainment Business.

Do you have a hidden gem in LA that you want to share with us? It's not really a hidden gem but if you want really good sushi – the original Katsuya in Studio City is the best sushi in town in my mind!

What would you suggest to others who are thinking about making the move here? Make sure you have some money saved as getting started in this town takes a beat or two – so come prepared to be able to survive a little while you work getting settled in.
Lots of our members join our group Brits in LA seeking out words of wisdom - what is the best piece of advice you've been given? NEVER burn a bridge, this town may seem really big but its actually quite small. The person who is working as an assistant today could quickly be your boss the next – so you never know! Reputation in the business goes a long way and can be really helpful or kill you!
Lastly, how can we find out more about you? Are you working on anything at the moment? The best way to know more about me I guess would be to hunt me down and ask! I am currently in an overall deal with STX Entertainment to produce scripted and unscripted projects. You can also see most of the projects I have worked on over the years on IMDB.com
