From Tears for Fear to Years and Years

Never a dull weekend in LA for a Brit in LA!

A bunch of queens and lesbians got to celebrate the Jubilee and Gay Pride in the same weekend.

While pubs like the Cat and Fiddle, Yorkshire Square Brewery and Ye Olde Kings Head put on quite the lavish affairs
Some opted for a quaint picnic in the park

I joined members Nick Marshall, Roy Magnenta, Fred Hulls and Lorraine and Claire, who refer to themselves as the British lesbags at lake Hollywood park for homemade cucumber sandwiches and a few glasses of Pimms and lemonade.

Later that night we got to see the legends Tears for Fears at the sold out Forum play their mega hits “Shout” “Sowing the Seeds of Love” and “Mad World” nice to know they haven’t lost it and are still very much incredible.

Next day was gay pride in the park.. we got to escort Cardi B on her float along with her 12 icon looks
All the way down Santa Monica Blvd. - it was pretty awesome and messy at the same time as she was promotion her alcoholic whipped cream called “WhipShots

From Tears for Fears to Years and Years

The Gay Pride festival was headlined by Olly Alexander and his British band Years and Years, playing his smash hits “Starstruck” the Pet Shop Boys cover “It’s a Sin” and “King” among many more.

But the Jubilee and Gay Pride celebrations aren’t over just yet. This weekend sees DowntownLA Pride and the BABC Britweek and Brits in LA host their own spectacular event next month at the Fairmont hotel — so stay tuned for more details about that!

Have a great week and stay cool!
